Meetings:
Meetings of the Parish Council are held in the Briercliffe Community Centre, Jubilee Street, Briercliffe.
The meetings are always held on the third Monday of every month and commence at 7:30pm. The first 15 minutes are set aside for members of the public to ask questions and comment on any current issues. Everyone, especially Parishoners are more than welcome to attend, whether that is just for the public question time or for the full meeting, which can discuss some interesting and very relevant issues for Briercliffe.
The Parish Council also has the following Sub Committees and Working Groups:
The Strategic Plannning Committee, all Councillors are members and the Parish Chair and Vice Chair are also the Chair and Vice Chair of Strategic Planning.
The Finance Committee, members include Cllr Frost (Chair), Cllr Lishman (Vice Chair), Cllrs Bailey, Meeks, Prince and Thomas.
The Allotment Committee, members include Cllr Lishman (Chair), Cllr Royle (Vice-Chair), Cllrs Bailey, Dack and Prince.
The Planning Committee, members include Cllr Thomas (Chair), Cllr Royle (Vice Chair), Cllrs Bailey and Dack.
The Recreation & Leisure Working Group, members include Cllr Kelly (Chair), Cllrs Bailey, Dack and Royle.
The Landslip Working Group, members include Cllr Frost (Chair), Cllrs Bailey, Dack and Meeks.
The Newsletter Working Group, members include Cllr Meeks (Chair), Cllrs Bailey and Frost.
The Lengthsman Working Group, members include Cllr Lishman (Chair), Cllrs Bailey, and Meeks.
The Environmental Warden Working Group, members include Cllr Frost (Chair), Cllrs Dack and Prince.
The Parish Council, Strategic Planning Committee, Finance Committee, Allotment Comittee and Land Slip Working Group are supported by the Parish Clerk and the Parish Council, Allotments Committee and Land Slip Working Group are supported by the Allotment Manager.
